Constantly in motion

London, Paris, Provence, San Francisco, New Jersey, Hamptons...all in a month.  So much fun and so much travel.  Remember summer, those lazy days, watching the surf roll in?  Yeah, me neither.  I think the next time I will get a lot of rest will be when Malia Obama is elected president.  I hope your fall has been happy and productive.

Last month I photographed my friend Lara Kurtzman for my ongoing series: Working Life. Lara is the lovely lady behind the jewelry line Kelacala Q, which you may have heard about from just about every magazine in the world (Vogue, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, Fader, Lucky and on and on).

It's been quite a month.  I moved recently to a wonderful new space and now I have internet again!  I can get back to my study of cats in boxes, flying lawnmowers and share this exciting bit of news with you: I am a part of the inaugural print offering and show of a new online artists platform, Fortress to Solitude.

Claire, New York City, 3/20/12

I met Claire through my projects with One Kings Lane a couple months ago and asked her if I could come back and take a few pictures of her home. Claire has amazing collections of dishes, flatware and lots of other household items and she has secret ways to get almost anything you can think of. She and her husband are consummate New Yorkers, in a wonderful apartment in Chelsea, where they have lived for 40+ years. We reminisced about a New York before Starbucks, 9/11, Tourists, Giuliani, and being able to walk around at night without fear.
