Mama in the woods

My dear old friends Kara and Henry are having a baby in August. I got to spend a little time with them near the Russian River recently. Can't wait to meet the little peanut.

AJ & Loretto Seles!

Last weekend I was in Palm Springs, California to photograph the wedding of some old friends from RISD. I was also a guest, and it was wonderful. AJ and Loretto are talented and crafty and put everything together themselves. I loved being a part of it and being at the Ace Hotel out there in the desert. I cannot tell you how much I love pools. I have a separate wedding blog, to showcase all the amazing weddings I have been a part of recently, but I had to share this picture....I wish I had that elephant in my house. p.s. if you know anyone looking for a wedding photographer, send them my way.

a little Los Angeles

Shanna and Stoney on El Matador

Stoney

This is my 77th post this year, which is pretty much my favorite number of all time; that's a good omen. This month has been 5 plane rides, 2 funerals and it's time for a new month I think.

visiting Whitney's studio in Santa Monica

Took a trip out to Los Angeles last week with Baptiste to see some old friends and swim in the Pacific. Everyday there was beautiful sun and barely a cloud, except when you get down near the ocean, the good old marine layer. We visited Whitney Bedford's studio at the Santa Monica Airport and as usual I am very impressed and proud of my friend.

29 Palms, CA, January 2008

I took this at the little motel near 29 Palms where I went with Anna to shoot her line for Dolce Vita this past January. We had to wake up around 5 or 6 in the AM and I was waiting for them to be done with makeup and such. It was much too cold to go swimming unfortunately. This year has gone so fast.
