Archive: Pompeii yawn, 2001
This is one of many stray woofs I encountered in the excavation of Pompeii, Italy. One of them gave me a guided tour after I gave him some of water.
I added a section called "assignments" to my website today. It shows some work I have done for clients in the past few years.

New website
by the way, I redid my website in November, using a great system called Indexhibit, and now I am able to re-organize and update it much more quickly and efficiently. Check out my site and Indexhibit. Thanks so much for visiting as well.
According to my site tracker, I had 2,134 visitors from 82 countries to this blog in 2009, which blows my mind, and 1,623 visitors from 63 countries to my primary website at www.ewarfield.com. And now it is 2010! But we don't have flying cars yet! Why not I wonder? Come on science.

Life is an ebb and flow
Yesterday I attended the funeral of Dr. Walter Fabricius, the father of a dear friend. It was a really moving day and I also marveled at the fact that there were four (at least that I know about) unborn children growing inside their mothers in the chapel as we remembered Stephanie's dad. That doesn't make it any less sad, but it just amazes me at the in and out, the ebb and flow of life and how little control we really have.
The singer Lhasa de Sela also passed away this week in Montreal. I know she will be missed by many.
Here are a few pictures from Stephanie's wedding in Germany from August of 2006. I have such a wonderful memory of that weekend.

Archives
I am excited about all the older work I have been scanning in with this fancy new Epson scanner I received as a Christmas gift from my mom. Thanks mom! So far I have been going through images from the round-the-world trip I took with my Father and Laura and Sam in 2001-2002, which has turned up many hidden gems I have not looked at in years. These will be making their way into several volumes of archives that I am self-publishing at Lulu.com.
