This is my 77th post this year, which is pretty much my favorite number of all time; that's a good omen. This month has been 5 plane rides, 2 funerals and it's time for a new month I think.
Took a trip out to Los Angeles last week with Baptiste to see some old friends and swim in the Pacific. Everyday there was beautiful sun and barely a cloud, except when you get down near the ocean, the good old marine layer. We visited Whitney Bedford's studio at the Santa Monica Airport and as usual I am very impressed and proud of my friend.
I did some shots for my friend Anna McCraney's upcoming new line of clothes last week before we left for LA. you know, that chick that won The Fashion Show on Bravo this summer???
I'm back in the city for work, which of course I am very happy about, but my mind keeps drifting to the countryside, to farms and cows and farmers markets, clouds and long roads with trees everywhere. You can forget that all of that exists if you stay in the subway too long.
The summer is slipping away; it was a perfect first day of September today. Here are a few pictures of one of the first hot days last June, with Oona, Paul and Baptiste on the day of the Bushwick Open Studios.
