Below is a description of an on-going project of mine, Working Life, which is portraits of people at their job, doing their job. I am looking to try and capture some of the many professions and jobs that are not represented yet in the project, which can be viewed here. If you, or someone you know would be interested in having their portrait taken, please contact me or let me know how I can get in touch with them. This is a personal project and will not be used for any other purpose other than artistic in nature. I have listed some jobs I would love to get to this year.
WORKING LIFE: November 2007 – on-going
This project is about portraits of people in their everyday lives, using photography, which to me means while they are working. I want to explore what the current working landscape is and what it will become. Most of us spend most of our lives working, usually not at home with family and friends. Productivity is measured and streamlined with a never ending upgrade of technology to make our work easier, but none of this has managed to lessen the amount of time we spend at work. In fact we work more now, not less. The office is everywhere, all the time.
