Natural History

Yesterday was Baptiste's birthday. We went to the Museum of Natural History and saw the Journey to the Stars show in the planetarium, which I highly recommend. I went to my first dance in 6th grade at the museum, in the hall of African mammals, with the gigantic elephants in the middle of the room. Yesterday I managed to avoid the thing that scares all city kids to their core - the squid and whale fighting deep under the water in the hall of ocean life. Still gives me the shivers.
Also this weekend we saw the first of many Teen shows to come and I was blown away! Definitely check them out soon.

Water and Gold/Agua y Oro

I am in Bogota, Columbia to see Baptiste and to check out his show with his sister Maia at La Residencia, an artists residency program here. They just started setting up today and it looks great. I wish I spoke Spanish a little better, but I have been eating my way through town and visiting a few museums.

Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend!

Thanks to all who helped us celebrate the inaugural Wayfare Projects show featuring new paintings by Baptiste Ibar. The opening on Friday was so much fun. I hope everyone was as excited as I was about the work and the space. I hope to do many more pop-up type gallery shows in the future, as well as a more permanent situation one day.

Many thanks to Mike Allen at aptsandlofts.com and Shari Shabab of Galerie Shabab.
